I have always been in love with faces. With the way that eyes can tell stories and move you, draw you in. Faces (and eyes especially) force you to interact on a level deeper than just skin-deep and suddenly you find yourself in various and at times even completely foreign emotional territories. Sometimes crudely intimate, so private you feel you’re intruding, sometimes so very easy and joyous that you can’t help but mirror the faces that smile at you. So I do what I love, what keeps my obsession with expressions in check: Explore the fragile structures of emotion and the subtle shifts that change everything.
